This photo is from our wedding. I’m the 3rd of 6 children. Everyone else got married young and had kids—except me. One day, while driving home feeling very disillusioned with life, I thought of Talita and prayed to God that, if possible, He would give me the chance to find her again. Today, I’m just grateful, because the wait was worth it. 

Circulating on the back of buses in Belo Horizonte was actually a strategy to keep Talita thinking about me. After all, it took years for us to find each other again. I’ve worked on campaigns for shopping malls, construction companies, and various other clients. But my true passion has always been basketball.

When I was a kid, I loved watching the Harlem Globetrotters cartoon. They had a huge influence on my passion for sports, and it was my childhood dream to watch them live. In 2015, I had the pleasure of participating in an event with them in Belo Horizonte. It was unbelievable to be on the court with these giants.

Along with getting married, I’ve discovered a new talent: cooking. Talita kept insisting I post this photo, so I finally gave in. But what I really enjoy is serving our community here in Germany, cooking for so many people two Sundays every month. What a blessing!
